Research Hub

Research towards sector change is fundamental to Generator’s approach to building a saf(er), more equitable, and sustainable arts sector. We see research as a tool for asking questions, challenging existing systems, and imagining new ways of working. And, most importantly, bringing those learnings back into the community. 

This takes many forms across our work, from the Thought Network’s residencies and symposium to the micro-research questions explored by Artist-Producer Lab participants and beyound! By creating space for artists and arts workers to investigate the structures, practices, and conditions that shape our sector, Generator aims not only to respond to the realities of the field, but to actively contribute to the culture change we want to see.
